How it works

From empty road to full pack.

  1. 1

    Create the ride

Six quick steps: type, route, timing, safety envelope, people, confirm. Start now or schedule ahead.

  2. 2

    Share your code

Friends join from your list. New riders swap their 8-character code plus a PIN you choose. Nobody gets found by accident.

  3. 3

    Ride live

One map for the whole pack. Separation alerts, last-known positions, chat and SOS stay on one screen.

  4. 4

    Journal the run

Completed rides land in your journal with distance, duration and a safety score that rewards steady riding.

01 · Live convoy

Everyone, on one map.

Every rider appears as a live marker with direction, spread and GPS freshness. The planned route stays visible underneath. No switching apps, no guessing who is where.

  • Leader, rider and watcher roles look different at a glance
  • Your separation threshold is drawn directly on the map
  • GPS age sits next to every position, so stale data is obvious
Formation spread · 86 m of 200 m allowed

02 · When formation breaks

Know who is drifting, before it matters.

Set the gap your group rides with. Cross it and everyone hears about it once, clearly, in words rather than a mystery chime.

  • Threshold is configurable per ride, from tight city runs to open highways
  • Alerts name the rider and the measured gap
  • Leaders can broadcast corrections straight into ride chat

Kabir is 240 m behind the pack

Threshold: 200 m · announced to the leader

03 · Signal loss

Last known. Never lost.

Tunnels and dead zones happen. When a rider drops off network, their last confirmed position stays pinned with an honest timestamp, clearly marked and never disguised as live.

  • Hollow markers for stale positions
  • “Last signal 2 min ago” on every offline rider
  • Positions resync automatically the moment they reconnect

Zoya reconnected

Position re-synced automatically

04 · Rescue protocol

When it counts, act in seconds.

An SOS needs intent: press, hold, confirm. Everyone who needs to know, knows, with location, battery and speed attached. Calm when clear, unmistakable when not.

  • Press-and-hold SOS, so pockets and tumbles cannot trigger it
  • Responders see actions in priority order
  • Confirmed incidents stay separate from stale location data

Crew is clear: calm by default

One ride workspace

Map, chat, rescue: one screen.

A live ride takes over the whole display. The map leads, the roster watches your pack, and chat or rescue slide in as drawers. Telemetry along the bottom keeps distance, ETA and connection state honest.

Map first

Route trace, rider markers and thresholds fill the viewport. Panels float; they never bury the road.

Chat in context

Announcements, quick replies and system events stay one swipe away in a drawer.

Rescue on standby

Crew-clear by default. The moment anything changes, actions appear in priority order.

Everything on board

Built for the whole journey.

From planning to the ride itself to the record afterwards. Core safety features are free; Pro adds automation and reach.

Separation alerts

Pick the gap your group rides with. When someone crosses it, the leader and the map both say exactly who and by how much.

Last-known positions

Offline riders keep a hollow marker with an honest timestamp. Reconnection re-syncs everything automatically.

Press-and-hold SOS

Deliberate to trigger. Responders get priority-ordered actions, last location, battery and speed in one place.

Pro

Guest tracking links

Share a private link that shows your latest position to family at home. No account needed on their side.

Chat built for gloves

Leader announcements, quick replies and system events like separations or reconnections appear inline.

Trip journal & scores

Every completed ride records route, duration and incidents. Scores reward consistency, never speed.

Clubs & families

Ride with your people.

Clubs keep regular crews together with routes, roles and history. Family plans add a shared safety network that works even when you ride apart. Both respect the same privacy rules: clubs are joined on purpose, and lookup still needs your PIN.

Questions

Before you ask.

Does RiderConnect work without installing anything?

Yes. It runs in any modern phone browser. Riders share location from the web app, and guest links open for family without any account at all.

How do people find me to add me as a friend?

They cannot search for you. You get an 8-character code generated when your account is created. Only riders who enter both your code and the PIN you set can send you a request, and you can switch findability off entirely whenever you like.

What happens when someone loses signal?

Their marker goes hollow and shows how old the position is, word and timestamp. Nothing pretends to be live. The moment they reconnect, everything resyncs and the pack sees them move again.

Who sees my location?

Only rides you actively join, while they are running. Watchers can follow a ride without broadcasting their own position. Lookup by code requires your PIN, and turning discovery off hides you instantly.

Is it only for motorcycles?

It is designed around motorcycle group riding, but the same model works for any convoy: cycling groups, overlanding convoys, even a family road trip in several cars.

Set the route. Keep the pack.

Create your first ride in under a minute. Invite with a code, link or QR, and the convoy handles the rest.
